The Body Positive’s Intuitive Health™ Model was developed to help people of all shapes and sizes achieve a healthy, sustainable lifestyle while creating positive relationships with their bodies, food, and exercise. This model honors the authority and experience of the individual, and allows people to become the experts of their own bodies.

The Intuitive Health™ Model offers tools for healing that access mind, body, spirit, and heart. Most people with body image and eating problems believe that controlling their weight is simply an issue of mind over matter. This belief is supported by our culture, and the diet industry in particular. “If I just have enough will power I can stick to my diet and lose weight.” “I just need to go to the gym every single day, and then I’ll lose weight and keep it off forever.” How many times have we heard (or spoken) these words? Countless women spend their entire lives fighting this very battle in their heads. They feel like failures, because no matter how many weight loss diets and exercise programs they attempt, they can’t sustain their weight loss. They blame themselves, not the program that failed them.

It is for this reason The Body Positive created a holistic model that restores trust in our own bodies and in our ability to know how to care for them.
